Reach mentoring is about journeying, travelling from one place to another. Our aim is to give young people someone to travel with them when life gets difficult. No one should have to go it alone! Our heart is to help young people develop resilience for the tough times, to equip and empower them to make choices that will take them somewhere and to provide a space for them to figure out where that somewhere is.
Reach mentoring as an organisation is going somewhere. Within the past 6 years we have expanded from mentoring 20 young people in Lurgan, to partnering with 33 schools and mentoring 340 young people each week. This has been an honour to be a part of. We are privileged to be led by an invested board of directors, a team of highly skilled staff who carry energy and passion and release a vital team of mentors who consistently turn up in the lives of these young people each week. But we have not arrived at our destination yet. Our somewhere is continually expanding. We are committed to providing mentoring to our young people at this critical stage of life and see this become a reality.
