You Won’t Reap Where You Did Not Sow

You Won’t Reap Where You Did Not Sow

2 Corinthians 9:6 (NLT)

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

The apostle Paul teaches about the law of sowing and reaping––a law that is always true in both the natural world and the spiritual.

God’s laws are inviolable. You cannot expect to reap where you did not sow. If you are asking God to prosper you but you are not willing to do the planting, your prayer has little chance of being answered. In the same way, if you are doing your best to sow generously, the Lord will always put His best at your disposal.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for the reminder of this foundational principle. I repent for having expected to reap a harvest where I did very little sowing. Today I choose to go to work, to invest, to sow and to persevere, strengthened by Your promises. Bless my sowing and also my reaping. I desire a great harvest that will bring honor to Your name. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
