1 Peter 4:12 (NLT)
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.

The Apostle Peter affirms that even when you are diligently, even sacrificially doing God’s will, difficulties may surprise you. You are looking for God, trusting in Him, helping others and still you get sick, your finances begin to dry up, serious problems arise within your family, and beyond all that, the devil is saturating your mind and soul with deadly lies that “this is only happening to you” and “your God has let you down.”
NO, you are NOT ALONE, and NO, He has NOT ABANDONED YOU!
Keep going with confidence that the hand of God is upon you and you will come out on the other end saying, “Exam completed. Problem overcome.” Don’t let the “furnace” surprise you; you surprise it!
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I thank You for this word that gives me the right perspective on my life and especially on my trials. I proclaim today what You declare in your Word: You are walking with me in the middle of my “furnace” and I will come through purified. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
