Who Is Greater: Your God or Your Enemy?

Who Is Greater: Your God or Your Enemy?

2 Chronicles 32:6-8 (NLT)

He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate. Then Hezekiah encouraged them by saying: “Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!” Hezekiah’s words greatly encouraged the people.

The king of Assyria was threatening and preparing to besiege the city of Jerusalem, to first weaken it and then conquer it.

Threats scare and paralyze you. They keep you from thinking rationally, much less finding the way out.

You will have to decide, like Hezekiah did, if you are going to put your focus on how big the problem is or how big your God is––the One who fights for you and always has a solution ready for those who seek it.

Pray like this: Father God, by reading your word, I have received courage and faith, and I come to You for Your aid as I face my daily battles. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
