Who Cares

Who Cares

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Unfavorable prognoses and diagnoses of every sort abound these days. From politics to pensions to personal problems, worry and anxiety are constantly lurking about, seeking to gain control of our lives.

Stop right now. Take a deep breath and realize that in the end there is “nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1:9). God’s clear and uncomplicated prescription for getting rid of anxiety has been around for a long time. He is simply awaiting your invitation to help. It begins by telling Him what you need—stripping yourself of the worrisome thoughts that are invading your space and trusting totally in Him. The result will be that His peace will stand guard at the door of your heart. Yes, “[cast] all your care upon Him, for He wants to do all your caring for you” (1 Pet. 5:7, paraphrased).

Pray this way: Lord, thank You for wanting to take care of all my needs. Today I leave my burdens and worries in your hands, and I receive the peace that You have promised. I ask and declare this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
