John 11:21ff (NLT)
Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died…Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” …“Where have you put him?” he asked them.
They told him, “Lord, come and see.” Then Jesus wept. 36 The people who were standing nearby said, “See how much he loved him!” But some said, “This man healed a blind man. Couldn’t he have kept Lazarus from dying?” …“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”

When something doesn’t work out just as you expected, you may find yourself thinking and speaking like Martha––blaming the Lord for the loss.
But Jesus is giving you the same answer as He did to Martha back then: “Where is the grave? Where did you bury your ‘beloved?’ Where did you bury your dream, your future?”
There may be more than one grave in your life. Show Jesus where they all are. It doesn’t matter how much time has passed. He is the resurrection and the life, and if you believe, He can restore everything to life again!
Pray like this: Lord, thank You for coming to meet me in this moment of pain. I want to show you everything I thought was dead and gone––all the tombs where my dreams, desires and sense of purpose are buried––because if You speak the word, Lord, they will be resurrected and reactivated, for Your honor and glory. I’m asking You in the name of Jesus, Amen!
