When Salvation Comes Like the Dawn

When Salvation Comes Like the Dawn

Isaiah 58:7-9 (NLT)

Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal.
Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind. Then when you call, the Lord will answer. “Yes, I am here,” he will quickly reply.

God’s promises are always sure, but they are also conditional. He does not ask of you anything that is beyond your reach, and He over-delivers on His end of the commitment.

In this case, His promises are related to helping others, not avoiding or ignoring their situation. Even in times when you yourself are going through scarcity, if you hear the cry of the needy in those moments and respond, you, too, will hear God say, “Here am I!” He will come to your aid right away, He will heal you quickly, He will guide you forward and He will be your Rear Guard.

Pray like this: Father God, as I read your Word, I understand that just as my neighbor needs me, I also need You to bless my life. I stand ready to do your will today, and I thank you because you will provide above and beyond what I can imagine. In the name of Jesus. Amen!

Have a blessed day!
