Exodus 17:10-13 (NLT)
So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill. As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.

This story vividly teaches us that there are always two aspects––or battlefronts––to every problem or enemy we face. One is visible and tangible, for which presence is needed; the other is invisible and spiritual, for which prayer is needed.
The people of Amalek were predatory. They lived scavenging off the resources of others. Today there are also people who are scavenging––threatening to seek and devour what belongs to you. They envy your assets, your family and your peace. Remember that while you will have to face the battle here on earth, the victory will come from heaven.
Pray like this: Father God, I receive Your Word and I believe You will give me victory over every predatory plan that is schemed against me. Today I raise my hands to heaven so I can move forward within confidence on the earth. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
