What To Do When You’re Cornered

What To Do When You’re Cornered

Jonah 2:1-2 (NLT)

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish. He said, “I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the land of the dead, and Lord, you heard me!”

Jonah found himself cornered by his own disobedience, and when he was about to die, he cried out to God and quickly received help.

You may also be caught in a trap as a result of sin, evil and destructive behavior or choices that were contrary to God’s will. This is the time to repent, and if you do, God will give you a second chance. Even if you are in a borderline situation, there is nothing impossible for God. Go to Him and wait for your answer. If He could rescue Jonah from the belly of a whale, He can surely rescue you.

Pray like this: Father God, thank You for this Word and the example of Your mercy toward Jonah. I regret having gone down the wrong path more than once. I cry out to You to “rescue me from my great trouble” and give me a new opportunity. In the name of Jesus! Amen!

Have a blessed day!
