Weeding

Weeding

Proverbs 24:30-34 (NLT)

I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense. I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down. Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

Wise King Solomon always speaks of spiritual principles which, when applied, bless your life. He says he learns a lesson that you should learn, too.

It is essential to pray, to seek God’s face and His help. But there is something else that is an essential companion to faith: action. Do something!

Taking a step of faith means that you put steps to your faith. So, do not wait for something external to remove the poverty and scarcity from your life and activate you. Faith alone will not weed your vineyard; your step of faith will. Take the first step, then keep walking. God’s blessing and reward awaits!

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for this wise counsel. I adopt it for my life to break off my passivity. I rise up in faith and move forward with new determination, believing that You will give me strength for each step and open doors before me in my daily walk. Thank You in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
