1 Timothy 6:6-9 (NLT)
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

Many think that having riches is synonymous with happiness, but those who are dominated by greed, ambition, the love of money, and contempt for the needy end up plunging into ruin.
Godliness and contentment are the real measures of wealth. Whether you have much or little, be thankful. Give thanks to God. Show gratitude to others. Be happy with what you have. Have faith that what you lack will come and give thanks in advance. And help those who do not have.
You may want to pray in this manner: God, I recognize that You are my Father, that everything I have has been given to me by You, that true wealth is in doing Your will. I repent for worrying about material things and ignoring the spiritual. I fully trust that You will supply all that I lack and in the meantime, I want to learn to live grateful, content with what I already have, and generous toward those who lack. Help me, Lord, in Your name, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
