Proverbs 22:2-3 (NLT)
The rich and poor have this in common: The Lord made them both. A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

Those who listen to and heed warnings, avoid danger; and those who live foolishly––who don’t heed or take care of themselves, endanger many.
There are higher warnings to heed, which go beyond protecting the body. They are the warnings about the health and salvation of your soul. These warnings, if you listen and obey them, will give you strength in the midst of earthly suffering and keep you from eternal suffering. Jesus, the “Doctor of the Soul”, gave everything He had including His life to make it possible for you to have abundant life here and eternal life with Him forever. Believe and receive, and you will be saved.
Pray like this: Father God, thank You for Your instruction that empowers me to live wisely, take care of my body, become strong in my spirit and have peace in my soul. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for giving Your life so that I could have life. Take complete charge of my life today, I pray. In Your name, Amen!
