Psalm 25:5-7 (NLT)
Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.

King David was a mighty and good king––a man after God’s own heart, the Scriptures say (1 Samuel 13:14), yet he was also no stranger to sin.
In fact, the consequences of his sin put him in touch with God’s deep, deep love and compassion. Instead of choosing pride, arrogance and deceit, he became teachable in the presence of God and discovered that He could then appeal to His mercy and love to find the power to start over again.
If you become teachable before the Lord, you will find the same love, compassion and restoration.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I come back to You, acknowledging my sins and asking for Your forgiveness. I realize my transgressions took me away from You and Your blessing, and I lost my way. I ask You to teach me and guide me in your ways. Through this word today, I regain hope. I thank You in advance for what You will do in me, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
