The Spiritual Man

The Spiritual Man

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NLT)

But people who aren’t spiritual[a] can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

The Word of God reveals to us that there are 3 types of people: the natural, the carnal, and the spiritual.

The natural person is not interested in, nor does he understand, the things of God. The carnal man welcomes the Lord but continues with thoughts, words, and attitudes from his old manner of life. The spiritual Christian receives the Word of God, keeps it, speaks it, practices it, believes the promises of God, and changes his lifestyle to experience them.

So, action time. Determine which kind of person you are. Then invite the Holy Spirit to come into your life to transform you every day into the spiritual person God designed you to be.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for Your Word. I realize now that it is impossible for me to understand Your ways and live according to Your counsel without Your presence in me. I ask You now to baptize me with Your Holy Spirit to transform me so that I can know You and walk in Your ways. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
