But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.

Being grateful gets you off your high horse and puts your ego in its proper place. Thanking God––recognizing that everything you have or receive comes from Him––is something that brings Him great satisfaction; He values it as a true and honorable “sacrifice.”
Being thankful to Him for everything is a pathway––a lifestyle––that guarantees His salvation will come to your rescue in every situation, and the blessings He has in store for you will be renewed every day.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You! Thank You so very much for this new day. Thank You for everything I am receiving from Your hand, even when I am so undeserving. From this day forward, I am choosing to walk this pathway of being thankful to You for all things––the good things as well as the difficult––because Your salvation will always come through. Thank You! In the name of Jesus, Amen!
