Psalm 38:4-8 (NLT)
My guilt overwhelms me—it is a burden too heavy to bear. My wounds fester and stink because of my foolish sins. I am bent over and racked with pain. All day long I walk around filled with grief. A raging fever burns within me, and my health is broken. I am exhausted and completely crushed. My groans come from an anguished heart.

King David knew that sin separated him from God and left him exposed to all kinds of spiritual and physical ailments––an unbearable load to carry.
It is the same with you. As sin separates you from the presence of God, you also begin to lose your health and your wholesome relationship with others. Your joy dissipates and even your finances begin to dry up. Sin brings death to every area of your life.
On the other hand, repentance reconciles you to God; brings rest to your body, soul and spirit; replaces sorrow with joy and brings life and blessing to every area of your life.
Pray like this: Father God, I need You and that is why I repent of all my sins committed consciously or unconsciously. I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I want Your presence to be manifest in every area of my life every day. I pray this with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus, Amen!
