1 John 5:13-15 (NLT)
I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

Every good parent strives to give their children the things they really need for life–things that are healthy for their proper growth and development, especially a climate of care, protection, and even wholesome entertainment and recreation.
God is the same way. He not only loves you; He likes you and likes being around you. Your Heavenly Father, like the best father you could ever imagine, is always taking His love for you one step further. When you speak, He is listening. When you ask, He answers. When you fall, He snatches you up. When you hurt, He feels both your pain and His. When danger lurks, He hovers over you. When you cannot see Him, He is right behind you. What you need, He will give you. Only believe in the name of the Son of God.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for not only saying You love me, but demonstrating it in so many ways that I cannot count them. Thank You for Your Son, the Lord Jesus, who gave His life to give me entrance into Your presence forever, beginning here and now. Thank You for always hearing me when I call and for giving my requests the best answers at just the right time. I will live praising You in the name of Jesus, Amen!
