Romans 7:21-25 (NLT)
So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

There are two powers that are battling each other for control of your life. On the one hand is the power of sin, which seduces you and then enslaves you to destroy you;
and on the other hand, the power of God, which frees, restores, revives and blesses you.
The destructive power of sin cannot be annulled by human efforts. You must receive a greater power––that of the Spirit of Jesus, the only One that can make you truly free.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I thank You for the deliverance I find in Christ Jesus, my Lord, and I apply it now to my life to cut off the curse of sin that seeks to enslave me. I receive the power of Your Spirit that frees me from the power of sin and death. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
