Luke 13:10-13 (NLT)
One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!

This woman, though she had not been born ill, had been hunched over for eighteen years. Science today is telling us that many diseases are psychosomatic. This passage clarifies that the disease had a spiritual origin.
In the same way that there was no human solution for that woman, you will not be able to free yourself from the evil that comes to your life with your own strength. You need a touch of God to straighten things out.
Pray this way: Father God, I realize that I need Your power in my life to be able to “straighten up.” Lord, put Your healing hand on me and deliver me from the evil that has me bowed down. I’m asking You in the name of Jesus, Amen!
