John 1:49-51 (NLT)
Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!” Jesus asked him, “Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.”

When the heavens are open over you, your family, your city and your nation, everything begins to come to life, even in the midst of the worst circumstances.
But when the Bible speaks of a ”closed heaven,” it means that available divine resources are not being accessed, and as a result scarcity, extreme need, illness, hopelessness, unfulfilled dreams and the like begin to crop up.
The key that opens the heavens is to believe and to keep on believing in who Jesus is. Nathanael believed because of what Jesus saw about him. Jesus told him, “Keep on believing and you will see heaven open because I am the stairway between heaven and earth on which ministering angels tread.”
Believe that Jesus is the “bridge” for the heavens to open and for God to prosper everything you put your hands to do.
Pray this way: Lord, many times it has seemed that heaven was closed and I could not make any headway. But today I believe that Jesus is the “ladder” to open the sky over my house and I look forward to the great blessings promised not just for me, but for everyone around me. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
