Sowing In The Desert

Sowing In The Desert

Psalm 126:4-6 (NLT)

Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

There is no question about it: these are difficult times. But this Word from God holds a key to refresh and strengthen your soul.

When you are going through a desert of scarcity and barrenness, in the midst of your weeping, find a way to give, to plant something. Turn your negative into a positive. You will find that God will send streams to your desert, restore you, to renew you, to give you the strength you need. Sow, initiate, persevere––even when it seems that it is not worth it. The promise is that for those who sow, even with tears, will raise with songs of joy when harvest time comes.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I choose to change my negative attitude and turn my troublesome circumstance into a positive outcome by sowing in this time of drought, believing that You will make it rain on my effort and cause the seed to reap an abundant harvest. Restore the well-being of my home and my nation. I ask you in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
