Roots and Fruit

Roots and Fruit

Luke 6:43-45 (NASB)
“A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

What you think, what you speak and what you do is a reflection of what is in your heart. That is why your heart has to be good, protected like a valuable treasure. But if it is not, and even if it has produced some bad fruit, there is still hope, because God can give you a new heart and a new spirit…and He wants to!

Pray this way: Father God, I recognize that my heart is not well and that is why I seek Your help. I regret all my faults. Change me. Give me a new heart. I ask You In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
