Rescued From Your Cave

Rescued From Your Cave

Psalm 142:1-4 (NLT)

I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord’s mercy. I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn. Wherever I go, my enemies have set traps for me. I look for someone to come and help me, but no one gives me a passing thought!
No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me.

King David, author of this Psalm, had experienced pain, betrayal and grievance. He was hiding in a cave when he wrote it, but he knew the only one who could get him out was God.

This passage presents a picture what is happening to you in difficult times, and shows you the way out of your “cave.” Present your problems to God and you will find the path that will take you to higher ground. Remember that Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world and whoever follows me will not walk in darkness (John 8:12).”

Pray this way: Lord, You know each and every one of my problems and You know what path I need to take today to climb out of this cave. Help me and give me the strength to take it. I receive it by faith with my trust totally in You. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
