Reparations

Reparations

Romans 12:18-19 (NLT)

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.

Having inner peace and being at peace with others is better and more necessary than being right and missing the grace of God.

You may have been cheated, ripped off, hurt and defamed, but anger and revenge will only increase your pain and deepen the problem.

God forgave you. Christ bore your sin. So then you can also forgive. And when you do, the peace of God will flood and heal your heart, and the righteous grace of God will work a better deal on the repayment than you could ever hope for.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I am going through times of pain because of what others have done to me. But today, based on Your Word, I decide to forgive just as You have forgiven me. Heal my heart. Fill my life with peace. Work out a repayment plan that restores all the broken relationships, I pray. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
