Matthew 24:5-8 (NLT)
“…For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”

Two thousand years ago, Jesus gave His disciples advanced warning about the extreme situations that were to come upon them.
Just as a traffic sign alerts you of danger ahead so you can avoid an accident, Jesus’ signs are also given to help you avoid earthly evil and eternal loss. They are signaling to you that right now you have an opportunity to come to God, change the course of your life and seek refuge in Him.
Refuge. How we need it in these days! And the only One who can provide the kind we need is Jesus.
Pray like this: Father God, thank You putting a warning sign in my path today to tell me that I need to come to You. I run to You today to repent of all my sins, to ask Your forgiveness for my faults, and to seek the refuge from evil that comes only from You. Thank You, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
