Judges 6:14-16 (NLT)
Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

Gideon felt powerless in the face of the non-stop onslaught of an army that came to devour and devastate the resources of his family and nation. On top of that external battle, he was inwardly bound by a feeling of inferiority, product of the negative mentality that pervaded his family line.
On any given day, you, too, may feel like Gideon––a born loser who lacks the ability, the resources and the courage to reverse the overwhelming situation you are in. But God, who has more faith in you than you do in yourself, tells you that the strength and ability He put in you is sufficient to get started and that if you will get going, He will be with you, and you will possess the inheritance that He has assigned to you.
Take courage! Not only will you and your household survive, but you will also conquer and become a blessing to the entire nation!
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I thank You for Your Word again today. I confess that I feel I do not have the capacity and the strength to do what’s necessary to fix the situation I’m in. But now, I believe that You are with me, and that it is all I need to fight until the victory is won. I thank You in advance for helping me be more than a conqueror, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
