Pounce or Be Pounced Upon

Pounce or Be Pounced Upon

Proverbs 6:6-11 (NLT)

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

In those times when you don’t feel like going to work, that it’s just not worth the pain or the effort or perhaps even the paycheck, or it’s a chore being diligent on the job, God tells you to strive. Change your attitude today so you will not regret tomorrow. Pounce on excellence, so that poverty does not pounce on you, and you will see things change all around you.

Pray this way: Father God, only You can help me recover from time wasted. I renounce all laziness and I receive new strength and wisdom to prosper in my workplace, no matter how difficult the circumstances. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
