Plowing in the Kingdom

Plowing in the Kingdom

Luke 9:62 (NLT)

But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus teaches us a great lesson in these few words: it is not possible to plow a field while looking backwards, which means that you cannot receive the new things God has for you by looking backward on the old things He has already given.

If you get stuck in the past, you will never see the future God has planned for you. He is challenging you to look past what your eyes are seeing today. If you have faith and follow on, His blessings will be renewed every day of your future.

Pray like this: Lord, today I declare that old things have passed and that something new and better is beginning for me. Help me to plow looking forward, not backward, to walk in Your ways and believe in Your promises. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
