2 Chronicles 32:21-22 (NLT)
King Sennacherib of Assyria invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified towns, giving orders for his army to break through their walls [and] also intended to attack Jerusalem…Sennacherib’s officers further mocked the Lord God and his servant Hezekiah, heaping insult upon insult…trying to terrify them so it would be easier to capture the city. These officers talked about the God of Jerusalem as though he were one of the pagan gods, made by human hands. Then King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to God in heaven. And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army with all its commanders and officers. So Sennacherib was forced to return home in disgrace to his own land. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with a sword. That is how the Lord rescued Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from King Sennacherib of Assyria and from all the others who threatened them. So there was peace throughout the land.

King Hezekiah faced a fearsome foe who not only boasted of being the most powerful military force of the day, but who also engaged in a non-stop media campaign aimed at discouraging and demoralizing God’s people. Hezekiah sought support from a prophet, a man of God, and together they cried out to the Lord. The answer came in a supernatural way.
When you are facing a persistent onslaught of evil, don’t let fear paralyze you or discouragement and doubts to derail, disorient and dominate you. Instead, remember that God has promised to be with you to make you an overcomer every day until the end.
If you are in a threatening situation, get with another trusted man or woman of God and seek God together. Where two or three are gathered together in His name, He will come, and His presence will be the way out.
You may want to pray like this: Father God, thank You because Your Word of encouragement always comes to me right on time. Today I take hold of it, I renounce the fear that is gripping, I declare that Your presence is with me and I trust You to lead me out to a place the place of peace. I bless and thank You in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
