1 Chronicles 14:10-11
So David asked God, “Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord replied, “Yes, go ahead. I will hand them over to you.” So David and his troops went up to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “God did it!” David exclaimed. “He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So they named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).

A very powerful army, superior to the forces of King David, was wanting to plunder his country and enslave his people. Before attempting to defend himself, David consulted God, and as a result experienced a supernatural victory. God empowered David to such an extent that David broke through the battle lines and swept the enemy away like a violent flood.
The opposition you are facing that is threatening your well-being, or undermining a project, or dividing a relationship may be coming from invisible, spiritual, evil forces that want to stop you, loot your “war chest,” weaken your resolve and cobble you so you cannot advance. Regardless of the strength of your resources, be like David. Consult with God. Ask Him to break into your life. Give heaven the opportunity to fight on your behalf and you, too, will experience a breakthrough victory.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, You are the same yesterday, today and forever. So, just as King David did, I ask You to break into my life, sweep away all opposition, and rain down Your blessings from heaven. I ask it in the Name of Jesus, Amen!
