Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (NLT)
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God.”

This promise was given to an entire nation of people––the Israelites–– as God was preparing them to enter the Promised Land. In speaking to ALL of them, He was also speaking to EACH of them. In other words, your personal obedience to the Lord produces blessings both at the personal level and the national level.
If you want your nation to rise out its difficulties, obey the Lord in your own life and in your household. Your obedience will become a magnet for His blessings. He will raise you up “high above” like a flag on a mountain to be point of reference for others to follow.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, help me to listen and obey more and more every day so that not only I, but also my nation may experience Your abundant blessing. In the Name of Jesus, Amen!
