1 Corinthians 2:13-14. (NLT)
When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

Everyone is accustomed to responding and reacting on what they receive through their five senses. They rely on what they see, hear, touch, smell and taste. That is why spiritual things seem “crazy.” They cannot be understood through those five senses.
But the Word of God emphasizes that you must develop another “sense” ––a spiritual one in which you walk by faith. It’s the one that allows you to truly grow, because faith takes every natural sense and ability to its fullest potential.
Even though everything you hear and see seems to indicate everything is tumbling backwards, if God tells you, “Move forward,” do it! To many it will look crazy, but for those who believe it is the power of God to achieve what He has purposed.
Pray like this: Father God, by your Word, I understand that I need to develop my faith more and more. I choose to live trusting in Your counsel, listening to Your voice and trusting in Your promises to bring into focus what my natural senses may be showing me. Help me, Lord. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
