But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

A person with faith never backs down. His transmission does not have a reverse gear. He always goes forward. A person with faith has put his confidence in Jesus and remains faithful to the Lord until death. A person with faith has projects, purposes, goals, and he perseveres in achieving them.
Faith is activated in you when you listen to God every day. Open the Word of God daily to hear what He has to say, and open your heart daily to trust and obey Him. You, too, will be named among those who never turn back.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I want to be named among those that do not back down. I want faith to be activated in my life. I want to persevere to the victorious end You have designed for me. Help me as I discipline myself to spend time with You in the Word to hear You and obey You. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
