No Seed, No Harvest

No Seed, No Harvest

Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

There is one formula that never fails: do good to others. While it is always nice to be on the receiving end, the reality is that a harvest only comes from something that is sown—a seed that is planted in others.

To overcome the consumeristic, self-centered culture we live in, we need a change of heart from joyfully getting to joyfully giving, tirelessly doing good to others, depending on God and trusting that in due time we will reap a harvest of blessings.

Every day you will find opportunities to give. Hang out with someone who is suffering. Meet a needy person’s need. Lend a helping hand to the fallen. Encourage someone who feels dejected. Sow! And in due time, your sowing will produce an abundant harvest. God is debtor to no one.

Pray this way: Father God, I want to have a generous heart to be able to give to people according to their need. Give me ears to listen to those who suffer, and words of wisdom to encourage the fallen. Help me to cast all my selfishness aside and wait on You for the harvest my seeds will produce. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
