Mercy, What Grace!

Mercy, What Grace!

Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Grace is an undeserved favor, something that one receives through no merit of his or her own. Someone else paid the bill.

Mercy on the other hand is not receiving what you do deserve. Someone one else bore your shame, pain and judgment.

That is why this passage makes it clear that the price for you to come to the throne of God has already been paid by Christ with his life (see verses 14-15).

So approach Him confidently, put in every problem, every illness, every family member, every economic challenge, every fear and evil habit in His hands. When you need Him most, His mercy will meet you and His grace will pull you through.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for making it possible for me to approach Your throne and come into Your presence with assurance. I choose to walk more boldly and live more confidently because of it. In complete trust, I place all that I am and all that I have in Your hands so that I can lay hold of Your grace in my time of need. I pray this in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
