Joshua 1:1-5 (NLT)
After the death of Moses the Lord’s servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said, “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you…No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

One of the greatest leaders in the history of mankind had died, and a new time for the Hebrews began under the leadership of Joshua.
Israel had become accustomed to having everything given to them from above without them having to work for it: food, water, clothes, housing. Now they had to move out of their comfort zone in order to enter the land of their ancestors, conquer it, and labor to have a good harvest.
Times of change are taking place in many nations today, and many are battling unbelievable obstacles just to survive. This may be true for you and your family. But do not be afraid! Remember that just as God was with Moses and Joshua, He will not leave you or abandon you. His plan is to make you victorious and to give His people the nations. (see Psalm 2:8)
Pray like this: Lord, thank You for Your care and protection in these times of change. I am in your hands and I am confident that You will be with me as You have promised. I declare that by Your power and strength, I will be victorious and my nation will prosper in righteousness. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
