Let The Enemy Flee, Not Me

Let The Enemy Flee, Not Me

2 Samuel 23:11-12. (NLT)

One time the Philistines gathered at Lehi and attacked the Israelites in a field full of lentils. The Israelite army fled, but Shammah held his ground in the middle of the field and beat back the Philistines. So the Lord brought about a great victory.

There is more to this story than the mere quarrel of two ancient peoples. The Philistines had come to attack Israel to steal the fruit of hard work, but they would leave empty-handed. You see, though all the army of Israel shriveled and ran at the onslaught of the enemy, one man, strong in the Lord, stood his ground in the middle of the field and beat back the foe, saving the harvest.

God does not want you to lose your business, your family, your dreams. Do not resign yourself to the magnitude of the problem. Instead, trust in God, get up, fight in His strength and watch Him give you victory.

You may want to pray like this: Father God, thank You for this account that increases my faith. I, too, want to live and stand in Your strength so that the enemy who comes to steal what You have put in my hand will flee, not me. Teach me Your ways, Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
