Matthew 8:5-8 (NLT)
When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer[a] came and pleaded with him, “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.”

This Roman officer knew the authority and the power of his words. One way or the other, his soldiers knew they had to obey his commands. Recognizing the spiritual authority of Jesus, he trusted in the power of Jesus’ words, and therefore asked Him to simply “give the order” for healing to take place. He had no doubt that when he got back home, his servant would be totally recovered. Even Jesus was amazed at his faith and exclaimed, “I have not found this kind of faith in all Israel!”
For everyone who has faith, there are no impossibilities, and there are no limits. Faith allows you to see the healing before it happens; the family restored even while it is still destroyed; the blessing in your hand even while you are still in need; and the salvation of your soul even though you have sinned miserably.
You may want to pray something like this: Father, I rise up in faith to believe in the power of Your Word, that for those who believe, nothing is impossible! I receive Your promises, and by faith I already see Your blessings. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
