Jesus and Decision-making

Jesus and Decision-making

Luke 6:12-13 (NLT)

One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.

Jesus had to make important and far-reaching decisions. He had to choose the men who would accompany Him during His life and ministry on earth and then continue on with the task after Him. He could not let Himself be influenced by their physical appearance, the eloquence of their words, the way they acted or their natural abilities. He needed to seek the guidance of His Father in prayer.

When you have to make important decisions, like choosing your spouse, starting a business, deciding on your major or making important purchases, do not base them on your own feelings or the opinions of others. Rather spend time with God so that you will be guided by the supernatural insights He gives you.

Pray like this: Father God, through Your Word I realize how much I need Your guidance and counsel. I now seek You for the insights and revelations that only You can give me so that I make the right decisions. I ask You in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
