Jonah 2 (NLT)
Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish… “O Lord, you have driven me from your presence. Yet I will look once more toward your holy Temple…I sank beneath the waves, and the waters closed over me. Seaweed wrapped itself around my head. I sank down to the very roots of the mountains. I was imprisoned in the earth, whose gates lock shut forever. But you, O Lord my God, snatched me from the jaws of death!” As my life was slipping away, I remembered the Lord. And my earnest prayer went out to you in your holy Temple… Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.

Jonah is heading in the opposite direction from where God had sent him and he ends up trapped in the belly of a great fish. At the brink of death, he repents. God saves him and puts him back on the road to his original objective.
If you have cast God aside and now feel “trapped” in a dark and dreadful place, I want to tell you to remember God just like Jonah did. God is your Father, and He is waiting to hear from you to give you a second chance.
Pray this way: Father God, thank You for giving me this new opportunity. I repent of having taken the wrong path. I ask Your forgiveness and Your help to get moving forward in the right direction. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
