It All Depends On Who You Depend On

It All Depends On Who You Depend On

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Before you end up on the short end tomorrow, put this Proverb into practice today. Resist the temptation to trust in your own understanding. Instead, seek God earnestly and trust Him completely for everything. He says He will show you the best path to take––to restore a broken relationship, to prosper in your work, to plan wisely in your business and to maximize your studies. If you are going into a meeting where plans, projects or problems are going to be discussed, put it in His hands. At each step of the process, ask Him for His guidance. Even if it’s a task you have done a hundred times, He may surprise you by showing you a more efficient and effective way to do it. Lean not on your own understanding. Leave room for His intervention.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, how I thank You for this timely counsel. Forgive me for running headlong into decisions based on my own understanding and opinions. Help me to discipline myself to consult with You on each plan, project and problem before I make a decision because Your ways are far better than mine. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
