Psalm 112:1,6-7,9 New Living Translation (NLT)
How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.

Often times those who stir up mischief are applauded and those who choose to do good are taken for fools. But God says there is joy awaiting you if you obey him, if you are generous and help the needy. He will guard your steps and give you peaceful sleep. You will not be fearful of bad news should it knock at your door. Your good deeds will always be remembered, and you will have a lasting honor and influence in your city.
Pray this way: Father God, I thank You for Your care for me. I receive this promise believing there is reward, influence and honor in doing good. I desire that, and so I determine from this moment on to help those in need around me. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
