2 Samuel 6:10-11 (NLT)
So David decided not to move the Ark of the Lord into the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-edom of Gath. The Ark of the Lord remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and his entire household.

The Ark of the Lord, which symbolized the Presence of God, had been housed outside the city of Jerusalem for several years. David made the decision to bring it back where it belonged when he was made king, knowing that in doing so, the entire nation would be blessed. But a provocative circumstance arose just a few miles short of the destination, and David decided to leave it in the nearby house of a citizen. Even that place was extraordinarily blessed during the time the Ark remained there.
That’s what the presence of God does. It makes your life, your home, your company and even your city blessed and prosperous.
Invite God to dwell in every place where you go, and you will also see that blessing manifest itself.
Pray like this: Father God, I receive the counsel of Your Word today and I invite Your manifest Presence into my life and my home, into every place that I go and into everything that my hands find to do. I ask You in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
