2 Samuel 6:11-12 (NLT)
The Ark of the Lord remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and his entire household. Then King David was told, “The Lord has blessed Obed-edom’s household and everything he has because of the Ark of God.” So David went there and brought the Ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the City of David with a great celebration.

In those years, the Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God among His people. The three months that it remained in temporary storage were enough for Obed’s house to be so blessed that it made national headlines and prompted King David to bring it to Jerusalem.
Jesus became the fulfillment of everything that the Ark of the Lord represented. If you have asked Him into your heart to be your Savior, now let Him be Lord of your life and family and invite Him into your home. Welcome Him everyday into your spheres of influence. You, too, will know the abiding blessing of the Lord.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I am so glad that You are the Lord of my life. Today I want to invite You to come into my house. Let Your presence fill it with so much blessing that it touches those around me like You did in Obed’s household. Let newsworthy things happen in my home and every sphere of influence I have because of Your presence. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
