Proverbs 4:20-23 (NLT)
My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

One only needs to listen to you speak to know what is in your heart, because God tells us that what is in your heart will come out of your mouth.
Therefore, it is important that you start your day well, surrendering your heart to God. Toss your old grudges. Trash bad thoughts. Treasure words of blessing, and in so doing, those victories you’re contending for will come to pass.
Pray like this: Father God, I put my life in Your hands. I choose to abide by Your Word and to guard my heart, because out of it will flow my spiritual, mental and even physical health, and it will determine the pathway my steps take this day. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
