Great Treasure in Fragile Jars

Great Treasure in Fragile Jars

2 Corinthians 4:6-9,18 (NLT)

For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed…We don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

When you allow the Word of God to pass from your mind to your heart, you receive light, you receive vision, your ideas become clear, and although your body remains the same, the Spirit of God strengthens you, makes you feel that with God everything is possible. As a result, no pressure or difficulty will crush you, because you are convinced that with Jesus you will not only survive, but you will conquer.

Pray like this: Father God I let Your Word sink down into my heart right now and I receive the strength that only Your Spirit gives so that I can face and overcome every present difficulty with that great Power! In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
