Psalm 62:1-2 (NLT)
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.

Do you have a “speed-dial––microwave” relationship with God, barging into His presence on the spur of the moment, fully expecting and even demanding an immediate response, and then leaving just as quickly? Pause for a moment or a minute, or even an hour. Let the Word for today remind you that He is Sovereign. He sees what we don’t see and knows what we do not yet understand. In fact, more than answer our questions, He wants to calm our anxieties and smother our fears. We need to learn to wait. Quietly. Without doubting or complaining. Abide. Showing our complete confidence and trust is in Him. That is true victory.
Spend time alone with God every day. Humble yourself and ask. Then wait. Enjoy the company of His presence while His answer is on the way.
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, please forgive me for my impersonal and impatient relationship with You. I want to learn to enjoy simply being with You, living every moment confidently in Your presence while Your answers to my questions and petitions are still on the way. Teach me, I pray. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
