“If you want to live securely in the land, follow my decrees and obey my regulations. Then the land will yield large crops, and you will eat your fill and live securely in it.”

In times when insecurity, violence and economic crisis occupy the front pages of our newspapers, this promise of God brings peace and hope. We tend to ask God to bless us, and we forget that there is something we also must do that He cannot do for us. It is this: Do not conform to the bad; obey the simple counsel that God gives you every day. Apply it in your daily walk, in work or business, inside your home and outside of it, too. In this way you will live securely and blessed in your land. Pray this way: Father God, thank You for Your Word. You promise abundance and security in the midst of calamity to those who follow Your commandments. I choose to walk in them. Help me today and every day to make my decisions according to Your counsel. In the name of Jesus, Amen! Have a blessed day!
