Get Rid Of the Flab

Get Rid Of the Flab

Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

Without you realizing it, so many things happen during your day that detour you from God’s best design for you, drain your energy, distract you from your objectives, devour your time, and distance you from God’s best blessings: the TV, your cell phone, social media, inappropriate friendships, and so on.

Make the decision now to get rid of the flab; the “flab” acts more like a cancer. Ask the Lord to show you how remove the hindrances from your life that are keeping you from running well. Turn away from sin. Build up your faith. Focus on being productive in every area of your life so that you can achieve all the good that God has prepared for you.

You may want to pray something like this: Father God, I am realizing how many hours I waste in activities that do not add anything to my life, family or my relationship with You. I repent to You, and I ask You by Your Holy Spirit to help me develop the disciplines I need to run with endurance the race You have set before me. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
