A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.

Before you get into a romantic relationship, form a partnership, make a deal, or establish deep friendships, follow God’s advice and observe the fruit of the other person’s life so that later on you will have nothing to regret; you will not have wasted your time or your resources; your feelings will not get hurt, and you will gain an abundance of joy!
You may want to pray something like this: Father God, thank You for this timely reminder today. I seek You for Your wisdom in building wholesome relationships with wholesome people who area producing good fruit in their lives, and we can be mutually blessed. Thank You, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
